During his 25-year coaching career at UGA, Vince Dooley led the team to 201 wins, 6 SEC Championships, and 1 National Championship. At the time of his retirement, he was the second-winningest coach in SEC history.
After his retirement from coaching, Vince Dooley held the post of athletic director for UGA until 2002, building one of the most successful athletic programs in America, and in 2009 became a consultant for Kennesaw State University as they developed their up and coming football program.
Coach Dooley has won numerous honors including 5 SEC Coach of the Year awards and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1994.
