Learn About Sharing Your Faith
At the end of Dr. Ike’s time with us, he shared that today is an incredibly significant day for him. March 3rd is the anniversary of the day that Dr. Ike held a funeral for his wife and child. Just a few months before his wife’s passing, Dr. Ike was facing a medical emergency of his own. During his stay in the hospital, his wife lay beside him in a rollaway bed.
Dr. Ike asked, “Have you ever doubted your salvation?”
She replied, “Never.”
She then went on to describe how her father had led her to the Lord. When Dr. Ike’s wife passed away, that was the first memory that came to his mind. Though Dr. Ike was facing an unimaginable tragedy, he had the peace of remembering that story and knowing that his wife had the assurance of her salvation.
Our desire is for each of you to have that same kind of assurance.
At 9:00, our time transitioned to some P&PB coaching from Pat. Our leader shared his thoughts on the importance of striving to improve, expressing gratitude, and how we can work together to be instruments of unity in our relationships, organizations, and our nation.
Pat’s time with us served as an overview of our Personal & Professional Best objectives. In the coming months, we’ll be driving down more specifically on each area of focus.
No matter what we want to improve, we need a system to achieve our goals.
Pat went on to share the story of his encounter with Julio on his way home from the President’s Club trip in Mexico. Make sure to check out Pat's blog and podcast about the exchange.
Pat wrapped up his time with a further call for each of us to be better leaders in our relationships, organizations and nation.
To "land the plane," Dr. Ike shared a story of a castle in Ireland owned by Lord Londonderry. You can listen to Dr. Ike's story below.
It was a perfect explanation point to our time together. At Supreme, we have a culture that is worth protecting. We're going to protect our culture by making sure that we only let people committed to their personal and professional best on the team. We're not in a defensive mindset. We're not going to tear down our castle to build a wall. Instead, we're going to build our castle even taller from the collective efforts of a group of extraordinary people, committed to getting better together!
